Mrs. Malone, a native of Kansas City, is a graduate of William Jewell College and has completed extensive work towards a Master’s degree at the University of Kansas under the tutelage of renowned artists Joyce Castle and Norman Paige. Her works on the operatic and concert stages include Female Chorus from Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, Marenka from Smetana’s The Bartered Bride, Mahler’s Lieder Eines Fahrenden Gelsellen, Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol, Vaughan William’s Dona Nobis Pacem, Handel’s Messiah, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, Poulenc’s Stabat Mater, and Rachmaninoff’s The Bells. Mrs. Malone sang under the baton of Nicholas McGegan, Robert Kapilow, and Anne Manson, a few of the world’s foremost conductors, as well as future stars such as Andrés Franco. Her teaching experience includes almost 10 years of enjoying the youngest of voices in local preschools, undergraduate, and graduate level students at KU and Midwestern Baptist Seminary as well as private vocal students ranging from junior high to adult. |
